COVID-19 SMALL BUSINESS RELIEF FEATURING LATISHA HANLEY, MISSISSIPPI DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY

LaTisha Handy and Gene Finley (Director of CompuRecycling Center) and Geri Adams (Business Strategist) spent a great deal of time covering the opportunities that are provided to women-owned businesses through the Mississippi Development Authority (MDA), Minority and Small Business Certification program. Thorough discussion of the process for becoming a certified minority business in the State of Mississippi was covered. Specific information on requirements to completing application and submittal process was covered in depth.  Throughout the year, CRC will continue to provide real-time solutions including virtual Small Business Entrepreneurial (SBE) Open Houses, conferences, seminars, networking events, courses, workshops, and more in agreement with social distancing guidelines.

COVID-19 SMALL BUSINESS RELIEF FEATURING SENATOR DERRICK SIMMONS

Senator Derrick Simmons  and Gene Finley (Director of CompuRecycling Center) detail the SB2772 Bill designed to provide relief to small businesses within the region during COVID-19 pandemic. They discuss the $60 million in direct payments to qualified businesses that were forced to close by the state or federal government, $240 million in grants to help small businesses with under 50 employees, and the $40 million  designated for minority owned small businesses. Lastly, they answer questions from callers directly addressing the concerns of small businesses owners within the region.  Throughout the year, CRC will continue to provide real-time solutions including virtual Small Business Entrepreneurial (SBE) Open Houses, conferences, seminars, networking events, courses, workshops, and more in agreement with social distancing guidelines.

Small Business Association (SBA), Mayor Errick Simmons of Greenville, and Gene Finley (Director of CompuRecycling Center) address concerns for small businesses within the region.
